Modify Openings Manually

Session 3 of 5

Adjust the Levels and Elevation of Openings

Introduction

Introduction

In this session, you will learn how to adjust the level and elevation of openings in Revit. Rather than modifying the parameters directly in the Revit Properties Window, it's recommended to use the [Level/Elevation] feature. This feature ensures that the position of the opening is set precisely as needed.

By adjusting the levels and elevation of openings, you can accurately calculate the distance to floors and display the information in 2-D plans, which are commonly used on construction sites.

Warnings

Warnings

If you change the elevation of an opening placed automatically by ConVoid, you will receive a warning that the position of the opening will be reset during the next creation and updating process. To prevent ConVoid from changing the location of the openings, you can enable the 'Exclude from conVoid' parameter. This will ensure that the opening stays in its current position.
